Talent Development and Advanced Learning Models: Promising Practices for Equity and Inclusion Friday May 5, 2023 9am - 2:30pm Children with advanced learning needs are found in every socio-economic stratum and racial and ethnic group. They are present in every school; yet their academic experiences are not the same. Inequities persist in identification of needs and learning opportunities available to them, but research supports several promising practices that center equity and help students maximize their potential. Join us to explore talent development models that support advanced learning and examine case studies from Illinois schools that have successfully implemented one or more evidence-based practices. District leaders will share their stories, provide guidance for implementation, and address questions from participants. Walk away with insights and strategies you can use to implement these approaches in your school or district. Friday May 5, 2023 9am - 2:30pm (virtual)
