Are you introducing students to a variety of primary source material in Social Studies instruction? Find out how to differentiate instruction to engage and add depth and complexity for advanced students in your classroom. A variety of key strategies and materials will be provided during this session that you can use in your classroom tomorrow!

Kimberly Freitag is an educational consultant and serving as one of three co-chairs of the IAGC Education Committee. She earned a BA in political science and history from Marquette University, an MSEd in curriculum and supervision from NIU, and an EdD in curriculum and instruction from NIU. She has worked as a classroom teacher, building administrator, and district administrator at US public and parochial schools as well as international schools in Berlin, Germany and Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. She has also served as an adjunct instructor at NIU, National Louis University, Central Texas College, and St. Xavier.
Kim's other interests include politics, music, travel, and recreational sports. She plays double tenor steel pan at Elgin Community College and rings handbells at St. Thomas More Parish in Elgin. She and her husband, a retired school counselor, are the parents of a gifted daughter and in-laws of a gifted son-in-law.
