The IAGC welcomes teachers, administrators, parents, social workers/school psychologists, educational specialists, and advocates for children with advanced learning needs to register for our 26th Annual Conference. Join national leaders in the field of gifted education and experts throughout Illinois to explore new ways to enhance professional practice, support equity and access, and collaborate to make advanced learning opportunities a reality for all children.
Thursday and Friday will feature a dynamic program with varied sessions for both veteran and novice educators in all roles and across all grade levels. On Saturday, our Parent Forum will offer a variety of sessions focused on strategies for supporting children with advanced learning needs, building positive school-home partnerships, and advocating on the school, district, and state/federal levels.
Conference strands include Evidence-Based Curriculum and Instruction (content and strategies); Effective Program Leadership; Addressing the Excellence Gap Through Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; Acceleration; and Social-Emotional Support.
Please note the following:
*Those with paid registrations for the full conference will receive a one-year IAGC membership.
**Prior to September 1, 2021 cancellations will receive a refund minus a $25 processing fee. There are no refunds for cancellations made after September 1, 2021. Changes in attendees can be made without charge.
***The IAGC will use the Whova app for this virtual conference. Please note that conference registrants are listed in the attendee list on Whova Apps to help foster pre-event networking. If a user does not want his/her name and profile to be listed and viewed by other attendees, he/she needs to explicitly opt themselves out by changing the visibility setting on the Setting menu to be “invisible.”
****5 Professional development hour per day are available to attendees on Thursday and Friday to attendees who complete attendance and documentation requirements (e.g. sign-in/sign-out/evaluation). Full-day, 5-hour attendance is required for professional development credit for Thursday and/or Friday.
******Sessions will be recorded and available for registrants on the event platform for approx. 3 months following the Conference.
