The Illinois Association for Gifted Children  Scholarship

What is the Illinois Association for Gifted Children Annual Scholarship?
This scholarship was established in 1996 by the Illinois Association for Gifted Children to provide financial support for educators who wish to enhance their understanding in the area of educating gifted children.

Two scholarships will be awarded each year. Each scholarship will consist of a $150 tuition voucher good for use toward the IAGC Convention.

Who is eligible for this scholarship?
Any interested parent, teacher, or other school staff member who works with gifted children.

How do I apply?
The application process consists of completing and submitting the application form. The completed form should be returned by October 1.

1. a demonstrated commitment to gifted children and,
2. the potential benefit that the educational opportunities offered by this scholarship will bring to the recipient.

The IAGC Recognition Committee will review all applications and present their selection to the IAGC Board of Directors for final approval.

The recipient will be notified by November 1, with the formal announcement and recognition to be at the Annual Convention.

For what activities can the scholarship be used?
The $150 tuition voucher may be used toward the cost of registration at the Annual IAGC Convention and other expenses incurred in attending the convention.
